New Hire Enrollment and Benefit Mid-Year Changes

You must enroll within 30 days of your hire date/change in employment status date. You can also change these choices within 30 days of a life event or during the Annual Enrollment period.

If you don’t complete your benefits enrollment within 30 days of your start date, you will be automatically enrolled in:

• Medical Plan 1 (HSA-eligible), Dental and Vision with coverage only for you.
• NXP-paid basic life, business travel accident, AD&D and short- and long-term disability insurance.

The enrollment choices you make will remain in effect until you experience a life event like getting married or having/adopting a child or until you can make changes during the next Annual Enrollment period.

You can change your HSA contributions at any time during the year by visiting the NXP Benefits Enrollment Site (SSO) .

You must enroll or opt out within 35 days of your hire date or you will be automatically enrolled in the NXP 401(k) Retirement Plan.

• You will be automatically enrolled contributing 5 percent of your eligible compensation on a pre-tax basis.
• Your contribution percentage will automatically increase 1 percent each year until you are contributing 15 percent of your eligible pay.
• Your 401(k) contributions will be invested in the age-appropriate Target Retirement Date Fund.

You can make changes to your deferral rate any time throughout the year. You can change your investment election or transfer balances between investment funds at any time, within the trading policy guidelines.

The benefits you elect during your enrollment will be in effect for all of this calendar year, unless you have a change in family status (defined by the IRS as “life events”) such as the following.

• Marriage or divorce
• Birth or adoption of a child
• Change in domestic partner status
• Taking a leave of absence
• Change in coverage under a spouse’s (or former spouse’s) benefit Plan.

If you experience a change in family status or other qualifying life event, you have 30 days to make the applicable change in coverage. Simply go online to NXP Benefits Enrollment Site (SSO)  to update your benefits or call the NXP Benefits Service Center at (888)375-2367. Your benefit changes will take effect retroactively as of the date of the qualifying event. If you don’t make the change within 30 days of the qualifying event, you will be unable to make benefit changes until the next annual enrollment.
