On January 30, 2023 the federal government announced that the Public Health Emergency (PHE) declared in response to the COVID pandemic would end on May 11, 2023. As a result, health plans will no longer be subject to federal requirements mandating full coverage for COVID-related health services. Therefore, coverage for eligible COVID-related services under NXP’s health plans will be changing effective May 12, 2023 to be consistent with coverage for other eligible health services.

The cost of COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots are covered at $0 cost-share during the national public health emergency period. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are advising who can get the vaccines and when. Find resources about vaccine availably for your area here .
If you are sick with a respiratory virus, stay home and away from others. Isolation is based on SYMPTOMS, not time.
Return to normal activities for 24 hours and when the symptoms are improving and if a fever was present, it has been gone without the use of fever-reducing medications.
Care and treatment related to a COVID-19 diagnosis is covered under your normal UHC and Kaiser plan design (i.e., subject to deductible, coinsurance, copays and out of pocket maximums).
UHC members can also schedule a video visit with a doctor through Teladoc.com/UHC anytime, seven days a week.
What to know about COVID-19 coverage after May 11, 2023
In California, COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and treatment (therapeutics) will continue to be provided and covered at $0 cost-share, in compliance with California law for fully insured health plans.

Kaiser Permanente will reimburse members for FDA-approved rapid antigen home tests. Members can submit a reimbursement claim for tests purchased.
