TJA1021是本地互连网络（LIN）主/从协议控制器与LIN中物理总线之间的接口。它主要用于波特率从1kBd到20kBd的车载子网络，符合LIN2.0、LIN2.1、LIN2.2、LIN2.2A、SAEJ2602和ISO17987-4:2016（12V）等标准。TJA1021与TJA1020和MC33662（B）引脚兼容。

通过TJA1021将发送数据输入（TXD）的协议控制器发送数据流转换成具有最佳转换率和波束赋形的总线信号，以使电磁辐射（EME）最小化。LIN总线输出引脚通过内部终端电阻拉高。对于指令器应用，应在引脚INH或引脚VBAT和引脚LIN之间连接一个与二极管串联的外部电阻。接收器会检测LIN总线输入引脚的数据流并通过RXD引脚将其传送至微控制器。在睡眠模式中，TJA1021的功耗非常低。故障模式功耗最低。
