电动助力转向（EPS）还能增强操控感与转向感，可根据车辆速度调节转向扭矩，并在危急驾驶情况下提供主动扭矩，从而提高车辆的安全性。恩智浦的16位和32位单核与双核汽车MCU可为复杂的电机控制功能提供增强的计算能力和专用外设。集成电源解决方案也是助力转向控制单元的重要组成部分。它们提供到汽车总线（如CAN和LIN）的连接。对于MOSFET功率模块控制，集成式预驱动器通常用于直接连接或通过SPI连接MCU。
