MC34671是一款高性价比的全集成充电器，适用于锂离子或锂聚合物电池。它能承受28V的输入电压，省去了手持设备所需的输入过压保护电路。一个充电周期包括涓流、恒流(CC)和恒压(CV)这三种充电模式。  

通过外部电阻，恒流(CC)可设置为600mA。恒压固定为4.2V。当电池电压低于涓流模式阈值时，涓流模式电流就被预设置为恒流模式电流的20%。充电结束(EOC)电流阈值预设为恒流模式电流的10%，目的是为了节省板空间和成本。在IC的内部温度升高至预设的阈值时，充电电流的折返热保护功能会限制充电电流。

MC34671有一个2.6V的上电复位(POR)下降沿阈值，使其能与电流限制电源完美协作。3个指示引脚(PPR、CHG 和 FAST)能轻松连接到微处理器或LED上。当电源没有连接，或禁用时，充电器消耗电池不足1.0µA的电流。
