MPC866 PowerQUICC™系列是0.18微米版本的MPC862 PowerQUICC®系列，可以采用一根66 MHz外部总线在MPC8xx内核以高达133 MHz的频率运行。 MPC866系列的内核电压为1.8 V，I/O工作电压为3.3 V ，兼容5 V TTL。MPC866集成通信控制器系列结合了多功能集成微处理器和外设，适用于多种控制器应用，特别适用于通信和网络系统。

MPC866系列基于Power Architecture，是我们四通道集成通信控制器(PowerQUICC)的衍生产品。 MPC866上的CPU是MPC8xx内核，一个基于Power Architecture技术的32位微处理器，包含存储器管理单元(MMU)和指令与数据缓存。MPC866P包含该系列器件的所有功能。
