Elementary Students See and Learn About STELLA Solar Car

Elementary students visited NXP^® to see and learn about STELLA, 2013 gold winner of the World Solar Challenge, and build a mini STELLA. NXP has been trying to get children interested in science subjects for close to seven years and according to the latest figures, technology promotion at schools is now actually starting to bear fruit. The number of students at technical universities went up by 13% this academic year. This is however not enough to compensate the shortage of people in the technology sector, which is why NXP continues to make efforts to promote technology at schools and offer students an exciting look in the wonderful world of chips at its site in Nijmegen.
