As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at NXP, Sneha Dhar supports recruiting efforts for India’s Pune region. She thinks NXP has made big strides toward increasing gender diversity. Citing the variety of women interns, new college graduates and experienced hires at NXP, she says the company is benefiting from a more diverse mix. We sat down with Sneha to talk about talent recruitment.
Sneha Dhar: A people-centric company that allows you to work on cutting-edge technology.
SD: The number one reason: we put people at the heart of everything we do. Led by a supportive leadership team, we focus on our employees’ well-being and encourage them to bring their ideas to the table. We’re always pushing new boundaries and are hungry to grow. NXP leads the way when it comes to diverse hiring, work-life balance and team collaboration. And, we like to have fun too! An example is our recent ice cream social which took place in all four of our India locations and allowed our new team members to meet their colleagues and enjoy the rich work culture that NXP India offers.
SD: For me, it’s come full circle since NXP was always one of my dream companies to work for. I couldn’t be happier! I feel respected and valued for my work here.
SD: India is investing extensively in training Indian youth for the needs of the 21st century. We have an exceptional semiconductor design talent pool that makes up to 20% of the world’s semiconductor design engineers. Almost all of the top 25 semiconductor design companies have their design or R&D centers in India.
Bright minds. Bright futures. NXP team members create breakthrough technologies that advance our world. The future starts here.
SD: So many things. For a start, our offices are located in prime Indian cities, and offer excellent facilities for fresh talent to learn and grow. We also have a very transparent and open work culture. Both top-down and bottom-up communication styles are encouraged. What’s not to love?
SD: We have four Centers of Excellence in Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida respectively. Over 2,500 engineers are working with us and the number is increasing every year.
SD: We have mostly R&D engineering roles at the moment with a focus on technologies that serve all NXP business segments.
