Maria Bertesteanu joined NXP Romania two years ago. She works as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at our site in Bucharest, where she recruits for Romania and EMEA. We sat down with Maria to find out all about her recruiting efforts and why NXP Romania is such an inspiring place to work.
Maria Bertesteanu: NXP Semiconductors supports new ideas and gives people the autonomy to improve processes and our work. We also offer everyone the opportunity to make a creative contribution to each project.
MB: NXP is a company that values its employees, and I particularly like it that I am encouraged to express myself. It makes me feel respected and appreciated. I am also given opportunities to grow professionally and personally through training and coaching. Besides that, I also truly believe that we collaborate so efficiently at NXP because we are guided by the principles of diversity, integrity and inclusion.
MB: Talent Acquisition is often the first point of contact for potential candidates. We represent the company at important events and we do our best for our internal stakeholders to fill their recruitment needs.
Bright minds. Bright futures. NXP team members create breakthrough technologies that advance our world. The future starts here.
MB: “Focus on making an impact that matters.“ By recruiting the right candidates for different projects, we have a direct effect on the business. NXP for me is a place where each employee — even students or fresh graduates — are valued and have the power to make improvements in various areas.
MB: NXP advances technology through a global reach. Our activities in Romania focus on software development for automotive, microcontrollers and connectivity products, as well as IT service management and customers supply operations. Our engineers concentrate on software IP (automotive, microcontroller and connectivity devices) and board solutions. Software is at the heart of NXP products. As customer demand for software enablement continues to grow, the team in Bucharest is instrumental in maintaining NXP’s industry leadership in software enablement, and in stretching the boundaries of innovation. This is why our motto is "Bringing Software to the Next Level."
MB: We have one site with 750 colleagues, but there’s always room for more. At present, I am looking to recruit 130 new people, mainly for Automotive Processing, Edge Processing and Crypto and Security.
MB: I love being a part of projects that allow me to spread our culture; our trust in young professionals and our belief that everyone with a “can do” attitude can make an impact that matters. This makes me firmly believe that the future of innovation will start here!
