PCA8576C是一款外设器件，可连接至几乎所有具有低复用率的液晶显示器(LCD)。它可生成用于包含最多4个背板、40个段码的任何静态或复用LCD的驱动信号，并且可以轻松级联以用于更大的LCD应用。PCA8576C兼容大多数微处理器或微控制器，并且通过双线路双向I²C总线进行通信。通过带自动增加寻址功能的显示RAM和硬件子寻址可最大限度降低通信成本。
