In this practical session, Steve Mitchell and Mark Dunnett of Arrow will demonstrate how to get started with NXP’s 1 GHz i.MX RT1170 crossover microcontroller based on Arm Cortex® M7. After a brief introduction to the new microcontroller, we will show you the evaluation kit (EVK) and how to obtain the code examples, drivers and middleware supported in the software development kit (SDK).
In this real-world webinar, Arrow will continue demonstrating NXP’s 1 GHz i.MX RT1170 crossover microcontroller based on Arm Cortex® M7. After a brief focus on the connectivity supported by the microcontroller (including Gbit Ethernet with AVB and TSN, USB, CAN-FD), we will then demonstrate getting WiFi up-and-running on the MIMXRT1170-EVK using NXP’s 88W8801 WiFi solution and AzureWave AW-NM191-uSD module.
In this hands-on session, Arrow will demonstrate rich, graphical HMIs with NXP’s 1 GHz i.MX RT1170 crossover microcontroller based on Arm Cortex® M7. The new microcontroller supports a range of features supporting graphics, including 2D GPU, MIPI-DSI and TFT controller and we will briefly introduce these. Turning to software, we will introduce the graphics libraries supported by MCUXpresso SDK, and then we’ll focus on the GUI-GUIDER software to reduce development time using LVGL graphics library. The webinar will conclude with a demo, building a GUI from scratch and having this run on the MIMXRT1170-EVK board. You’ll see how a high performance, GHz microcontroller with extensive on-chip RAM and unlimited QSPI flash memory unlocks a new level of graphics performance for your next HMI design.
