202112022I : TSSOP8 UTL 431 3NC (Z) Orderable Part Number Release
Releasing to 'Roughened' Leadframe option in the same TSSOP8 format. While the Leadframe remains Cu-alloy based the device will utilize an Ag component in the Pre-plating process (NiPdAuAg vs NiPdAu). * The only difference between the 118 (118) and 431 (Z) orderable part numbers is the Leadframe plating (material) otherwise all other materials processes equipment and personnel is the same as currently used. * The 431 (Z) solution remains Dark-Green (RoHS+HF) compliant. * The 431 (Z) orderable part number requires a new/different Orderable part number since it requires a ‘bagging’ procedure since the Roughened Lead Frame utilizes an Ag plate in the PPF process. Device data sheets are updated with the new orderable part number The 431 (Z) orderable part numbers are available as of Dec 2021 Initial samples of the new orderable part number are available if desired by contacting stephen.blozis@nxp.com until they are stocked in NXP eCommerce * It’s important to note the following: 1) there have not been any customer complaints due to delamination and 2) there are no plans to discontinue the existing orderable parts
