201703012F01 : Connectivity Software Update for Kinetis® KW41Z KW31Z and KW21Z Wireless Microcontrollers
NXP Semiconductor announces an update to the Connectivity Software that supports Kinetis® KW41Z KW31Z and KW21Z wireless microcontrollers. The update optimizes radio performance over various manufacturing process corners and conditions.Elements of the Connectivity Software are incorporated in NXP's manufacturing test process. After the effective date NXP will begin testing devices based on the updated Connectivity Software. Customers must take the following actions before the effective date:* Navigate to https://mcuxpresso.nxp.com* Click 'Select Development Board'* Build an updated SDK package based on Device Board or Kit and the needed IDE and Connectivity SoftwareNote: The update supports only IAR Embedded Workbench and MCUXpresso IDEs. Other IDEs are not supported including legacy KDS.Implementation of this update is mandatory. If customers do not implement the software update by the effective date they could receive parts that exhibit degraded performance.Note:* Re-certification is not required.* The software update can be applied to parts manufactured prior to the effective date.
