It is important for you to know that ‘personal information’ (or: ‘data’, ‘personal information’, ‘personal data’ or ‘your data’) means: any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual (or ‘data subject’). An identifiable individual is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier – or by reference to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. Different pieces of information, which collected can lead to the identification of a person, also constitute personal information. We may process various types of personal information we receive from you. They might include the following:

• Curriculum Vitae and Application letters and other attachments

• Background checks (Employment checks, Education checks)

We collect your personal information for the following reasons:

• Recruitment, selection, evaluation and appointment of job candidates (temporary or permanent) for the job you have applied for and for subsequent job opportunities
• General HR administration and management (in case you become an NXP employee)
• Application analysis such as verification of your employment reference(s) that you have provided, background checks and related assessments
• Compliance with corporate governance and legal requirements (for example, to monitor diversity requirements)
• Communicate with you and to inform you of current status of your application and future opportunities (unless you have told us that you do not want us to keep your information for such purposes)
• Refund you for costs related to your interview process (travel arrangements etc.) in accordance with the applicable Refund NXP Policy

Our legal basis for our collecting and processing of your personal information is as follows:

1. NXPs legitimate interests, namely the recruitment, selection, evaluation and appointment of new employees and the management and administration of the recruitment and HR process, to the extent these activities do not prejudice or harm your rights and freedoms
2. Entering into and managing a labor contract
3. Compliance with our legal obligations (for example to the extent the law requires the monitoring equality of opportunity and diversity)
4. Agreement with employee representations (such as Works Council)
5. Your specific and informed consent

We take care to share your personal information only with those who really need it in order to perform their tasks and duties and to third parties with a legitimate business need. We may disclose your personal information to the following types of third parties:

• NXP affiliates

• Third party service providers

We may also share your personal information with third parties who provide services to us such as IT hosting providers, relocation agencies, recruitment agencies, consultants, background services and attorneys. If your personal information is shared in this way, NXP does so only on a “need-to-know” basis.

We recognize our responsibility to protect the personal information we collect. We maintain appropriate organizational and technical measures designed to protect the security and confidentiality of any personal information we process and require our service providers to do so too.

We make sure that our measures are in compliance with applicable data protection and data security laws. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent risks, such as accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to information. Additionally, we make sure that these measures are in compliance with applicable data protection and data security laws. For instance, we put in place the following measures in order to protect your information:

• Limiting physical access to our premises
• Limiting access to personal information (for instance, only employees on a need to know basis have access to your personal information)
• Requiring third-party providers to have acceptable security measures to keep personal information secure and putting in place physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in line with industry standards

We retain your personal information as long as it is necessary to fulfill the specific purposes, as explained under the section “Why do we collect your personal information’’.

NXP retains your data for the application procedure for 6 months for the following purposes:

• Managing your application during the full cycle of the recruitment process, candidates’ interviews, selection and final offer until closure of the job opening at new hire start date. Along these 6 months, we will also keep access to your specific application file in order to be able to answer any query you may have about your status during the different phases of the execution of the hiring process and still a few weeks after the definitive closure of the position.
• With your specific consent, NXP will keep your data for a maximum of 2 years in order to contact you in case of other suitable job openings at NXP. You can self-revoke your consent or update your data at any time by connecting on your account. If you lost your credentials, you can ask for a new password.
• In certain cases, a longer retention of your personal information might be required according to legal obligations. In all other cases, we delete your personal information once the purpose of processing your information is fulfilled.

According to applicable privacy laws, your rights include the right to access, modify or delete your personal information (unless it is legally required to retain the information). You can easily access your account on NXP career website and manage your data.

You are responsible for the information you provide to NXP, in that it is honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way. If you provide information concerning any other person such as individuals you provide as references, you are responsible for providing any notices and ensuring your referee consents to NXP collecting and processing that information as described in this Applicant Privacy Statement.

We are happy to give you control over your personal information. For more information on the data we collect about you or to request that we delete your information, please select one of the options below (See "Contact Details"). We will respond only to the email address you provided. This is to verify your identity and ensure that you are the owner/controller of that email address and account information.

NXP is a global organization, so the data we process may be transferred internationally throughout our organization and to third parties worldwide. The countries/regions in which recipients are likely to be located are the countries/regions where NXP is conducting business.

To protect your rights, we only store and transfer your personal data in a country where:

1. An adequate level of protection for personal data is provided
2. An instrument covers the requirements for the transfer of personal data
