 DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
 -----------------------
 Motorola is pleased to announce that the XCF5206EFT has been added
  to the 160ld QFP MSL1 qualified assembly process in Kuala Lampur,
 Malaysia (KLM).  This Product Bulletin upgrades the XCF5206EFT from
 JEDEC Moisture Sensitivity Level 3 (MSL3) to MSL1.

 The change to MSL1 moves the products to the "non-moisture
 sensitivity" category.  The MSL1 improvement does not change the 
 fit, form or function of the XCF5206EFT.  This category allows the 
 products to be removed from factory packaging and stored indefinitely 
 in conditions up to 90% relative humidity prior to assembly without 
 requiring a bake procedure.

 Note that MSL3 XCF5206EFT product assembled at Shinko will
 eventually be replaced by MSL1 product assembled at KLM.

 PCN 5291, added KLM as a qualified assembly site for the XCF5206EFT.

 RELIABILITY DATA SUMMARY
 ------------------------
 The MSL1 assembly process has been qualified at KLM for MSL1

 by several devices at KLM.  The MCF5206FT, which has the same package
 components and pinout as the XCF5206EFT, was one of these devices
 qualified.

 For further verficiation, the XCF5206EFT underwent addtional
 moisture characterization.
