The MCUXpresso IDE includes an integrated version of the MCUXpresso Config Tools that enables fast and simple creation of pin and clock initialization files. This three-part video series covers use of board configuration files to assist in supporting software development on custom boards, and migration of code between package and part types within device families.
Part 1 – In this segment we briefly recap the MCUXpresso configuration tools and the concepts of how Pin and Clock configuration tools help code development. The steps to change device package starting from existing code are covered next, followed by the steps to change device.
Part 2 – In this segment an example board configuration file and custom SDK are created using the MCUXpresso Configuration Tools and IDE, and a new project is created using that custom SDK.
Part 3 – In this segment the MCUXpresso Tools are used to modify and existing example for the LPCXpresso845MAX board to run on the LPC845 Breakout Board, using the board configuration file for the Breakout Board created in Part 2 of this course.
